Leadership Development increases Gross Domestic Product
Leadership Development | When you talk to Human Resource (HR) Professionals they will state that it is important to invest in developing managers and leaders. However, it is difficult for them to provide hard evidence to support this statement. Any evidence they provide may be based on a small study and the results may not be clear.
Research Paper Presented at the Division of Occupational Psychology Conference January 2019
Quest Partnership’s MD, Max Choi along with Alan Howard presented a paper at the Division of Occupational Psychology (DOP) Conference (January 2019) that demonstrated that the quality of managers and leaders in 40 countries correlated highly with the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) i.e. countries with better managers and leaders have higher GDP.
The research is based on over 120,000 managers and leaders that completed the Managerial Scenarios and Executive Scenarios – Situational Judgement Tests (SJT) that Max and Alan developed. (SHL Scenarios)
