The SHL Graduate Scenarios Test measures an individual’s ability to make judgements and deal effectively with a range of challenging situations. This test supports the selection and development of graduates and the potential of undergraduates.
Graduate Scenarios is a unique test of Managerial Judgment Potential - an individual’s ability to decide on effective ways of handling real life situations. It is specifically designed to assess judgment in graduates; a group who typically has limited work experience to draw on. It consists of realistic scenarios relevant at graduate level, each followed by several possible responses, which needs to be rated, in terms of its effectiveness or ineffectiveness.
The Graduate Report provides a profile of results i.e. the overall managerial judgement score, three sub-test scores (Managing Objectives, People Management and Reputation Management), and six elements. It also includes general development advice for each of the scales, powerful specific feedback and development tips based on the individual’s responses. Individuals are compared against a large group of graduates.
Situational Judgement Tests (SJT’s) assess how an individual will approach challenging situations and their ability to choose the most appropriate action. They are built around realistic scenarios to assess how an individual would react in a real-world management situation that they could encounter in the job they are applying for. The results from this test can be used to support recruitment, selection, training, talent development, performance management and coaching.
Quest Partnership’s Director and Founder Max Choi is the author of the very first and market-leading management Situational Judgement Test. There are three different versions of this SHL Scenarios Test available, to measure judgement in Graduates, Managers and Senior Executives.
In addition to this Situational Judgement Test, further insight may be gained by the addition of a verbal or numerical data reasoning test.
