Hogan Insight Report Manager Level (Dark Side) is most suited for those with strong potential to develop into management roles or existing managers, graduates and supervisors. 

Note: It is a tool best used to support other assessments and information. It can be inappropriate to use this tool in isolation, particularly with new individuals. It is best used to support development, it can be used to support selection, but our professional view is that this may be more difficult to handle effectively.

The Hogan Development Survey evaluates 11 forms of interpersonal behaviour that can cause problems at work and in life. Behaviours associated with elevated HDS scores can be strengths, but when overused can derail relationships and careers. Individuals who understand their performance limitations have more successful careers. The report is very comprehensive and provides discussion points for you to explore the assessment results with the individual and reflect on opportunities for development based on the context of the participant's role.

The Hogan Insight Report Manager Level (Dark Side) is for identifying individuals that have the potential to excel in the roles of Executives, Senior management and for other very senior roles, the Hogan Challenge Report may be more appropriate when looking to develop individuals to first level management level roles. What's Covered

The Hogan Insight Report describes a leader’s characteristic way of thinking, behaving, and treating others while under stress and pressure. This includes stress due to increased workload, but also extreme boredom.

It predicts potential career-derailing behaviours that interfere with the ability to build a cohesive team, impede leadership success, weaken work relationships, hider productivity and limit overall career potential.

This Hogan report focuses on the dark side of personality i.e. identifying potential negative characteristics, when an individual is significantly challenged and stretched.  It does not draw out the positives of the individual. A few of the questions may therefore appear unusual to participants, however, this is a deliberate aspect of the questionnaire.
